What we started with...

Front Porch

The previous owner had their law office in the ground floor of the house.  They had converted the front porch to office space.  This picture looks along the front of the house.   The outer wall on the ends and on the left of this picture were removed to restore this space as a front porch.
This is another view of the front porch - which had been converted to office space.

This space is now our dining room - with the wide window looking out onto the restored front porch.
This is another view of the conference room - now dining room.
This may be hard to imagine - but this space is now Cheryl's Kitchen.  The door on the left entered a small bathroom which was removed - along with the entirety of the cabinets and fixtures in the kitchen area - to create a very large and open room.
This is the living room looking to the back of the house and a great deck area.  Refinished walls, new paint on the ceiling, refinished floors - and this room was ready to go!
 Fireplace in the living room.
This is the other end of the living room, looking toward the enclosed-porch which we restored.  The doors (on the right sitting ajar) were removed to make an open entry from the entry hall to the living room.

The back deck - perfect as we found it!

A Work in Progress

Can you guess which room this is??
This was a bedroom with an entry to a 1/2 bath.  After some reconfiguration - it has become the bedroom in the guest apartment.

The picture below - is Cheryl's Kitchen, after the bathroom, counter-tops, and fixtures were removed to make way for a large open space and pass-through to the dining room.

This is the soon-to-be living room.  The shape of the room didn't change, but everything else did.

The Finished Product!

The houses in this area are "arts and craft' style, typically with wide porches, and are always painted in 3 colors (yikes!).  Here is ours.
The is the dining room as seen from the kitchen.
The master bath.   This was a rear sun-room before we converted it.
